Stone and Shingle Country House
Location: Short Hills, New Jersey
This Shingle and Stone Country Estate is massed to define beautiful rooms on the interior as well as unique spaces on the exterior including a large bluestone slab motor court at the entry. A mixture of large and small rubble fieldstones create a unique masonry enclosure for this house. Dormers above the garage and main house were used as a tool to bring light into finished attic spaces that enjoy expansive views of the surrounding landscape.
